A fuga de Cézanne

This text investigates the aesthetic reflection of the philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty on the life and work of Paul Cézanne. This work also discuss the thesis of the philosopher about returning to the perceived world, the painting, the expression. From these themes, a reading was developed on the work Cezanne’s Doubt. This study aims to point out the contributions of Merleau-Ponty’s philosophy to the discussion of Cezanne’s production in the midst of his artistic creation process.
