A RESPONSABILIDADE COMO PRINCÍPIO ÉTICO

This article aims to analyze how responsibility is presented as a central principle of Jonasian ethics and, as such, as an alternative to ethical nihilism. In order to do so, it is necessary to recognize Hans Jonas's proposal both in its principialist and consequentialist bias, since its ontological foundation leads to the ethical metaphysics "Dass eine Menschheit sei" ("There be a humanity" [PR, 93]) and to predictability as the "first duty" of the ethics of the future.
