Considerações acerca dos capítulos sobre a eternidade, a unidade, a imensidão e a imutabilidade de Deus na segunda parte dos Pensamentos Metafísicos de Espinosa

We intend to comment on the first four chapters of the second part of Spinoza’s Metaphysical Toughts, dedicated, respectively, to the Eternity, the Unity, the Immenseness, and the Immutability of God; suggesting, moreover, a general reading of the work in question as a whole. In this way, we seek to investigate the meaning of Spinoza’s demonstrations in these chapters, proposing hypotheses for their structuring and the occasional justifed insufficiency of some of them, emphasizing, in all this and among other aspects, the polemical character of the work.
