El principio de responsabilidad y las cuatro leyes de la ecología: Un marco epistemológico para un estudio de caso

Critical epistemology, with its various exponents, continues to be relevant as a philosophical, political, and social approach to analyzing the relationship between science, technology, society, and nature. From a specific sociological perspective, this paper adopts as its theoretical framework the proposal of the German philosopher Hans Jonas (1903–1993) on the principle of responsibility and the perspective of the American biologist Barry Commoner (1917–2012), particularly his formulation of the four laws of ecology. It examines an aspect of these two theoretical proposals, presenting preliminary results from ongoing doctoral research, in order to highlight the theoretical value and usefulness of perspectives not closely linked to the field of science, technology, and society studies. The aim is to put forward a new approach that bridges perspectives from the social and natural sciences to analyze case studies and public policies in science, technology, and innovation, addressing local challenges in Argentina and Latin America.
