2022Mariana Fischer Pacheco. Haveria um "déficit agonístico" na teoria de Axel Honneth?. Revista Dissertatio de Filosofia, v. 53, p. 77-100, 2022.2
Until the mid-2000s, Axel Honneth´s critical project emphasized the role of an anthropological entrepreneur based on a moral psychology. His perspective was criticized by both Nancy Fraser and Judith Butler. I will argue that the objections of these two philosophers of very different traditions have at least one thing in common: they show the absence of a genuine conflict or an “agonistic defict” in Honneth´s Theory. According to Butler, there is no real combat in the psychic life and, for Fraser, the struggle is domesticated also in social life. I will conclude that even after Honneth´s recent “historical turn” this deficient still remains.
