The aim of this paper lies in revisiting the relation of Marx towards Hegel concerning the relation of dialectics and politics. We shall avoid assessing the Marxian criticism of Hegelian dialectics as either successful or unsuccessful. Instead, we seek a midway point between the two. Hence, it is important firstly to demystify some elements within the exegetical investigation permeating both authors. Afterwards, we shall turn to some aspects raising a closer connection between Hegel and Marx presenting arguments of commentators considered essential to such an enterprise. Finally, we shall analyze some categories on the surface of the capitalism system and how Marx’s critical-dialectical analysis of them as proving the main point of the present approximation of both authors, that is, the fundamental thesis of the presence of an antithetical normativity permeating social relations which makes it possible envision the axis upon which historical transformation are made possible.
