Hobbes e a democracia moderna: regra da maioria e representação política

This article intends to discuss modern democracy and the political thought of the English philosopher Thomas Hobbes from two common elements: the majority rule and the notion of political representation. Therefore, the article analyzes the importance of these two notions both for Hobbesian political doctrine and for the modern conception of democracy.
