La violencia ejercida sobre el ingenio de los indígenas: una lectura desde Spinoza

Spinoza affirms in proposition 31 of Ethics III that by nature all subjects desire that the others live according to their ingenium. Based on this proposition, this article seeks to reflect on indigenous peoples living in an urban context in the city of Blumenau/Santa Catarina. The analysis uses the impressions of an action participant research carried out with indigenous women who migrated to the city more than five years ago. In the text it is observed that the legislation of the Statute of the Indian is one of the ways that maintains the superimposition of the white ingenium on the indigenous one. From the analysis it is stated that the superimposition of one ingenium over the other is a form of affective violence that reproduces colonization today.
