Não há trágico na indústria cultural:: Nietzsche e Adorno, mais uma vez.

The present article has as objective to understand a passage from the chapter “Culture industry” in Dialectic of Enlightenment, by Adorno and Horkheiemer, in which it states that “there’s no tragic in culture industry”. Adorno, the main responsible for this chapter, quotes a passage from Twilight of the Idols, by Nietzsche, to sustain this claim. According to Adorno, the culture industry eliminates from his horizon the idea of tragic as struggle and resistance, on behalf of conformism and resignation. This understanding of tragic, for Adorno, is still present, in a clear and decisive manner, in Nietzsche. We intend to show to what extent the perspective of Nietzsche can, indeed, corroborate the understanding of Adorno.
