O desimpério do corpo: três anotações sobre Olgária Matos

These three short notes make up a sort of admiration exercise to Olgária Matos. They are inspired by the reading of her essay The body and the power, put out in 1984, in which we are invited to face the human problematic of corporeity and its denatured naturalization processes, that is, the administered and reified body, object of a “sharply calculated and ritualized barbarism.” Despite the fact that Olgária dialogues with several thinkers, I approach only two specific moments, which cover Walter Benjamin and Franz Kafka respectively.
