What does the great filmmaker Hitchcock have to tell us about the pandemic we are experiencing? How did Covid-19 open a possibility to watch the movie The Birds that was not evident in its time? In this two-way street, it is as if Hitchcock could help us think about the current pandemic, but only because the pandemic itself allowed us to see something new in The Birds. The aim of the article is to think about what the elements of non-human nature, whether birds or viruses, may say about the anthropocentrism of modern civilization.
