In this article, we intend to discuss the distinction between a possible being and an existing being, in Leibniz. In order to this, we will use as support reflections on the comments of Gaudemar Martine and Robert Adams, in their books. We intend to show that a possible is something that doesn’t have its own force. Although every possible demands existing, this force is nothing but the divinity’s force itself; there is no otherness before creation. Differently, an existing has its own strength and autonomy.
