TRES DIMENSIONES DEL PENSAMIENTO DE MARÍA ZAMBRANO EN CHILE

The review and organization of María Zambrano’s texts published during her stay in Chile reveal three theoretical strands present in her thought. To carry out this organization, we first present the texts written during this period and some of the major milestones of her stay in the country, which situate her thought within a political-intellectual context that helps organize her work into the following dimensions: cultural, political, and feminist. The cultural dimension draws on the relationships the philosopher establishes between poetry and politics in her thought, which serve as a prelude to the development of the concept of poetic reason. The political dimension expresses her commitment to democratic and emancipatory projects opposed to the prevailing fascism, revealing Zambrano’s critical stance against reducing politics to its institutional framework. The feminist dimension explores other forms of political engagement through images associated with women. The articulation and analysis of these dimensions in the conclusion highlight the political relevance and contemporary significance of the author’s thought for addressing current issues.
