The political misappropriations of Nietzsche’s thought, as wellas the critics of his presumed political aristocratism, keep a commonapproach: both of them evaluate his thought in comparison withmodern political thought. The aim of this article is to analyze three preliminarytopics in order to do a stricto sensu reading of Nietzsche’spolitical thought. First of all, I assume that Nietzsche’s political viewmust strictly be analyzed within Nietzschian thought, and not from anyvalues related to philosophical modernity and politics. Secondly, I willanalyze the morals and values as an expression of ways of life. Lastly, Iwill focus on the relationships between action, moral sensibility anddécadence. These questions and observations reverberate in a specialway throughout Nietzsche’s political conceptions.
