This paper discusses theological-political aspects of the genesis of the hegemonic concept of nature within a certain Western tradition that has come down to us. The main purpose of this reflection is to consider the challenges inherent in the critique of the nature/culture dichotomy, as well as to attempt to clarify aspects of the problem related to the emergence of our hegemonic figure of the subject.
