Olgária Chain Féres Matos is a retired professor at the Department of Philosophy at University of São Paulo and professor at the Department of Philosophy at Federal University of São Paulo. Her trajectory began in the late 1960s when she entered as a student at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of the University of São Paulo, then located at Rua Maria Antonia. Rousseau, Marcuse, Adorno, Derrida and especially Walter Benjamin are some of her most important philosophical references, from which the philosopher composes a constellation of ideas animated by the affection and the erotic. With utopia as a compass, deviation as a method and cunning as a guide, her constantly renewed effort is to illuminate the classics with the power of the ephemeral and the questioning brilliance of the extemporary.
