Democracia e opinião pública em Platão

This study seeks to examine some of the socratic-platonic debates about public opinion in the face of the search for truth, and its political impact, particularly for democracy, which depends on the notion of freedom. After understanding the advance of Plato's view on the problem of opinion and the impossibility of its general overpowering, the author's view of the regime that gives power to the demos is discussed and, in the end, what kind of learning can be done from it extract for contemporary democracies.
