Mal e privação em Espinosa

Ke article explores the notions of evil and privation in Spinoza, mostly based on his correspondence with Blyenbergh. I intend to show that Spinoza radicalizes Augustine and Descartes’ solution to the same problem, refusing to give any kind of ontological consistency to privation. As much as the notion of evil, privation itself can only be thought of as the result of a merely imaginative comparison, without any bearing on reality.
